Changelog Ether This is a brief version history of Ether. We only publish the changes made from the time we launched the first beta. Level: - Accidently removed death triggers around the level so you can now safely descend to the bottom of the hill (no reason to though, since there' s nothing there). - The spiral tree elevator should work better than earlier versions. Code: - Nothing that is visible on the level shipped. Sound: - No changes made to the weapon/object sounds. - Still no ambience on the level shipped. **************** * Version 3 * **************** Graphical updates: - Changed the scale of the foliage to create a cozier feeling. - 3D skybox added although not perfected. - Some of the textures have been improved, but not all. Level: - A bit of the lag has been removed but we're considering replacing a few stones and removing some to improve performance. - You're still able to descend to the ground. We urge you not to. Code: - Animations added to the Stick. - The beetles do work but aren't implemented. Sound: - No changes made since last time. **************** * Known Bugs * **************** - There is a lag when you look at the tree from the starting area. We will be narrowing this down and see if we can solve it. - The trees are destroyable. This is not intentionally. - The shaders for the objects are worthless without proper lighting, we're looking into this. - The crash when shutting down the game is because of the shaders, we're looking into this. - The hitbox for the spiral tree is still not good. - The whale doesn't work yet so you probably can't see it. Let us know if and how you managed to see it. - You can see a grenade if you blast the plants. - The skybox is off. ************************** * Not Yet Implemented * ************************** - The rats. - The beetles. - Loading screen of our own. - The fonts are the default, except for the title which is from dafont.com/cuttyfruty.font and the crosshair which is ours. - Lots and lots of sounds e.g. explosions, footsteps, collissions - 2D skybox. and lots more to be added...
